Worship Services

Worship services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary at our church facility at 67 Taunton Road. The church building is fully accessible, including an elevator. Large print liturgies are available on the table in the foyer. Coffee and juice are served following the service.

Visitors are more than welcome to join our worship services. Nursery is available for children under 3 years of age. Children's Worship and Sunday School classes leave the sanctuary midway through the service to attend their classes.

The congregation values its time of worship very highly.   We value the importance of having a full-time Pastor to lead the congreagtion and provide inspired preaching.  We also support the part-time salary position of a Music Coordinator.  Together with the Church Administrator and a very active Worship Committee, we construct worship services each week that are both somewhat casual and yet structured at the same time.   Printed liturgies and litanies are usually given to worshippers as they enter the sanctuary.   The worship style is relaxed and yet very intentional.   The sermons will often be part of a series.   The music, singing and instrumentation seeks to integrate the best elements of many different music traditions.   Various members of the congregation volunteer each week to participate in the service as leaders of congregational prayer, soloists, scripture readers, etc.

We also celebrate Holy Communion (Lord's Supper) about once every six weeks or so.   Our practice is “Open Communion”, which means that the invitation is extended to all who wish to participate, if they feel inside their heart that they love the Lord Jesus and have a commitment to His worldwide body, the Church.   No authority higher than your own Spirit-led conscience will keep you away from our celebration of Holy Communion.   Our elders and deacons help us in distributing the bread and the  wine, as we gather in circles at the front of the sanctuary to personally share the communion feast together.  The congregation is usually singing while the circles are gathered.
